Join us for our biggest summer yet! We need actors, singers, dancers, sideshow acts, jugglers, fire eaters, sword swallowers, and more….
For the first time, FST will be presenting two shows in repertory:
Two Gentlemen of Verona
In conjunction with Fairbanks Light Opera Theater, we open our summer season with Two Gentlemen of Verona, the Tony award-winning musical by Galt McDermot and John Guare, directed by Brandon Michael, who last directed Sweeney Todd for FLOT.
Two Gentlemen of Verona is a Carnival-style romp with roles for male and female singers from ages 15+. Please prepare a song and any specialty skill you might have. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided.
Two Gents auditions will be held 12-3 PM, May 1 and May 2. There will be callbacks (including a dance call with choreographer Felix Bambury-Webbe) on May 2.
Measure for Measure
We are also auditioning for Measure for Measure, directed by returning guest director Graham Watts. A corrupt politician upholds high moral standards for his people while flagrantly ignoring those principals in his private life. Ripped from the headlines? Some things never change. Join us for Shakespeare’s “Indecent Proposal,” a legal thriller that examines what happens when the forces of sin and virtue face political hypocrisy.
Measure for Measure auditions will be held from 2-5 PM, May 1 and May 2. Be prepared to read from the script.
Auditions will be held at the Empress Theater in the Co-op Building downtown. The entrance is on Third Avenue between Cushman and Lacey.
