We are thrilled to be opening the doors of our downtown home, the Empress Theatre, for a Sneak Peek event of our
hot summer show, the thrilling tragedy of Othello, directed by Graham Watts.Doors of the Empress will be open from 2 PM to 8 PM this
Sunday, June 21 during the Midnight Sun Festival. Stop by to see film versions of Othello throughout the ages as well as scenes from
our upcoming production. There will be door prizes and free snacks (while supplies last!) and the chance to hear guest director
Graham Watts' brilliant take on Othello and on using Shakespeare's First Folio. See you at the theatre!

FST announces auditions for its summer production of Othello, directed by Graham Watts. Auditions are Friday, May 22 from 6-8 PM
and Saturday, May 23, from 1-4 PM at the Empress Theatre. Bring a Shakespearean monologue or read from the script.

BARD-A-THON 2009 [February, 2009]
We had a great turn-out for our Tenth Annual Bard-a-Thon. It was great to see so many old friends and new faces for our week-long
round-the-clock reading of the Complete Works. This year, in addition to reading all of Shakespeare's plays and poetry, we also read
Aphra Behn's The Rover, John Ford's 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, Christopher Marlowe's Faustus, and local playwright Tom Moran's new
play Friar with a Crowbar. This year's Bard Junkie award went to Rhi Johnson, who reading a whopping 33 plays!
